The steps of transformation are experienced as follows:
There is only one Pattern in the Operation of the Sun. By Fire you will be set free; by Water you will reclaim your power. By Air you will discover your inner worth; by Earth you will realize its potential. In its Dissolution you will see the Pattern encompassing you and know what to do, for this Pattern originated with the birth of the universe and is sealed in time and space everywhere. Only then will you be allowed to contribute to the universe; only then will the child of your imagination be allowed to grow. — Dennis Hauck
Calcination: This phase breaks down your at- tachment to the material world; it is the phase of the destruction of delusions, appearances, and pos- sessions. The element fire burns away the mental constructs and belief systems that hold you back and box you in.
Dissolution: This phase reveals unconscious emotional parts of yourself for release. The element water is used to dissolve heavy feelings and nega- tive thoughts. Unresolved wounds of the heart will arise to be healed.
Separation: In this phase, you begin taking an intimate look at your personality, deciding what parts of yourself that you want to separate from and what parts need further integration. The element air helps with this process by making changes in your physical, emotional, and mental realms. The element helps to quickly release old ways of being. You will consciously review your unconscious and decide if you are ready to release the blockages, phobias, and neurotic tendencies — or not.
Conjunction: This is the phase where you merge the conscious and the unconscious parts of your- self for deeper healing. The element earth begins to build a new reality within your consciousness and a different way to experience the world which is more stable and balanced. It is the union of the masculine and feminine within. Your heart begins to open and your intuition grows as you become connected to Spirit.
Fermentation and Putrefaction: This is the in- troduction into your new life. You will experience a death of your old world and be initiated into a new way of being. The element ether begins to arise within your consciousness as you move through the final three phases of the alchemical process. Ether helps you to ascend into the higher realms and be- gin to see that the reality on Earth is actually con- nected to a previously unseen and unheard world. As a spiritual warrior, you begin to hear the call to help others along the way.
Distillation: In order to know whether you can hold true in this new life, you will be psychological- ly tested by a higher force. This phase of purification is agitating to the human mind as there must be no impure or negative subconscious thoughts affecting the personality in order to enter a state of peace.
Coagulation: The whole and healed human be- ing is rare, but if you have reached this stage, you are now fully conscious and interacting with the world from the level of the heart or with love. Be- ing becomes as important as doing. You will see the world from a new perspective and higher level of consciousness. This is the rise of the Phoenix and the phase of resurrection into your highest destiny.

This podcast is a super powerful healing where I include the following exercise from my book Fertile. You can follow below to try on your own.
Understanding Your Earthly Contracts: A Writing Exercise
- Why did you choose this? Why did you choose the events in your life? Why did you choose your family? You shouldn’t be shocked by these questions, as we are all the creators of our own realities for our greatest healing.
- Close your eyes and go back to the time before you were born. Imagine yourself looking down from a higher dimension at your mother’s womb. You know what your life will be like as you are looking at this family of your choice. You are attracted to your mother’s frequency, but why? What will you learn through her? By choosing this family, you will experience specific events that will physically affect your body, mind and spirit in this lifetime, and you choose it. What have you learned since your choice, and what benefits have you gained from these lessons?
- Ask yourself these questions about the people and the experiences that you have dealt with (you can do this with each significant experience individually):
Is it a personal agreement? This would mean that you have done this to others and need to have it done to yourself. Or you needed to experience this to heal it for yourself or for a generational line.
Or was it a mission? Meaning you chose your family or the experience so that you could understand the pain and help others. The mission is for everyone and for the ALL. You may go in and experience a rapist—the totality of the pain, the grief—so that you can be a healer and heal others. You need to feel the pain of humanity to be a true healer and be trusted that you have the compassion and integrity to support others. You walk into the fire and then you come out as a diamond.
- Once you know if it was a personal agreement or a mission, you can complete the following ceremony. Say these words out loud: I hereby release my contracts and/or soul tribes (which is your family and friends) or attachments to these lessons. You can visualize the contracts between specific people and yourself burning up in a fire. You can also visualize cutting all the cords that may be attached between your bodies. After doing this, the dynamics of these relationships will change.
- Acknowledge if your mother, father, sister or brother is your soul tribe. When you are ready to move on to the next higher self, you need to let go of your soul tribe, which is the group of souls that you may have spent many lifetimes with, learning lessons. When you let go of this group, you will become ready to accept your divinity and be unified into the consciousness of all.
- Create a symbol to anchor your new life. This is the first shape that comes to mind. Symbols are forms of energy and communication which allow Spirit to speak a vast amount of information quickly. Take some time to let it unfold around you.
- Once you change these agreements, the world around you will change. Your universe will rearrange itself to accommodate your new ideas about reality.
Doing this work is vital so that you can become an awakened mother. There is no need to pass these patterns on to your children. If you had a whirlwind of a childhood, would you want your children to experience any of this? I highly doubt it. Anything that affected your body physically creates a great amount of density. As you do this work and release your past, make sure that all the healing is done from the level of your heart not just the head.

Alice in Wonderland and Dorothy from Oz are just a couple of the archetypal figures that provide great examples of the hero’s journey. This type of narrative creates a common template for us to fol- low to find ourselves. It involves a hero who goes on an adventure, meets a crisis only to overcome it and comes out transformed. There are a series of stages that the hero or alchemist must go through on the journey. The story begins with the adept living in a normal world, totally oblivious of the adventure he or she is about to embark on. There is then a call to action and adventure which the adept politely re- fuses. In order to push the adept into incarnational destiny, a teacher or mentor will appear to help the individual cross the threshold and conquer his or her inner demons. During the journey, tests, allies, and enemies appear. These hurdles teach the adept who is trustworthy and he or she gains insight into human character.
In order to make it through this difficult journey, the adept must go inside to find the courage to continue. This period is the final preparation before a physical test or crisis takes place in the adept’s life, at which point the original wounds of the past can resurface to be healed once and for all. A meta-physical death occurs that will eventually transform the adept into the alchemist, who is resurrected and rewarded with a new life. Ultimately, the alche- mist will return to his or her normal world again, but as a transformed human being carrying the philoso- pher’s stone or secret elixir of transformation. The he- ro’s journey encompasses the stages of alchemy, and when completed, things are never again the same.

Meghan is a long term client who has used the Mystical Motherhood process to become a better woman as she conceived her two children. This is her story of releasing generational patterns to create a brand new life narrative.
We all face patterns – or templates – within our family systems, which are then experienced within ourselves and exposed through our relationships. These may include unavailability to love or connect, unworthiness, lack, attachment, and ignorance. I am not encouraging you to go to therapy to speak about these issues and recreate the experience.
I am not suggesting that you get angry with your family or parents. It is probably not the best idea to leave your partner. It is also not in your best interest to focus on the drama and trauma. What I do want you to do is become aware of your original wounds from childhood, identify where the patterns have been repeated in your relationships, and begin the change today.
